Driving the back roads of Clay County and East Texas inspired these eight photographs. All are hand-tinted silver gelatin prints. As I was coloring them, they reminded me of what it feels like to weather one of life’s many storms and begin again, which is why I named them after the verse in Colossians 3:12–14:

“Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
